End of the decade 2010s Climate Crises
07/12/19 20:05 Filed in: Environmental Education
The time has come to look back on the end of a decade. The 2010s (pronounced "twenty-tens" or "two thousand and tens") is the current decade that began on 1 January 2010 and will end on 31 December 2019. For the world, the twenty tens has been quite a roller coaster ride. Revolutionary innovations, the Great Recession, the Climate Crisis, and disturbing political and environmental crises. All these events have challenged me to take action, no matter how small. As a result, I participated in the Women’s Marches and the Climate Strike.
As a writer it has been a fulfilling decade.

Honors: Alabama Audubon-Datnow Forest Preserve. I was overwhelmed and grateful to be recognized by the Alabama Audubon Society. “Claire Datnow founded the trail and outdoor classroom during her tenure at Putnam in the 1990s. We are honored to continue her legacy and grow this preserve into something even greater for the students and birds to enjoy for years to come.”

She replied, “Your matzo ball soup is definitely one piece of wisdom you’ve earned!”
